I have had the greatest pleasure of interviewing an incredible lineup of guests on the Art World series of audio podcasts over the last two years, which are available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. I kicked off my hosting duties by talking with legendary motion picture director David Cronenberg, known for such films as The Fly, Dead Ringers, Naked Lunch, and The Dead Zone. We talked about everything from David’s NFT release, Kidney Stones and Inner Beauty, and his feature film Crimes of the Future, starring Viggo Mortensen and Kristin Stewart, to stories of both our guest appearances on two different Star Trek television series and, of course, insects, one of his favorite subjects.
I also interviewed Clyfford Still Museum director Dr. Joyce Tsai, conceptual artist Ken Lum, photographer and installation artist Sandy Skoglund, film director Kelcey Edwards, seasoned curator Dan Cameron, and a few others. I always love a good origin story and I asked many of these guests how they entered the worlds for which they now act as leaders.
