Kickbox loosely alludes to the bottomless pit of scapegoat abuse that we – nominal leadership, the middling masses and subjugated fringe – routinely inflict upon each other in the often hostile U.S. It also points to the event of prevalent, nearly unending law enforcement brutality and the many subsequent, very real lives lost and disrupted that those events create. Addressing these issues is perhaps another example of squaring the circle or an attempt to reconcile the impossible, but it must be attempted.
